The following prayer has traditionally been used during Lent with Haiti Bowls. It may be said at any time during the day, but could be substituted for grace before meals when the family gathers around the dinner table.

A Family Prayer in Solidarity

Lord as we walk through this holy season of Lent help us to remember those who do not have the things we take for granted: enough food and clean water, a comfortable house, good schools and hope for the future. We pray for all the people at Saint Eugene's Parish and for all the people in Haiti. We pray that our sacrifices and our offerings will help to ease the troubles of life for them. give us awareness that our parishes are united in a common bond in faith in You. Through these prayers and offerings may we grow in our knowledge of You and your great love for all the world. Amen.
