Last weekend the Parish Budget was circulated. Within that budget was a target for Weekly Collections in the current fiscal year (FY-2015) covering the period 9/1/2014 to 8/31/2015. That estimate of $5,915 was established with the following in mind;
That average weekly Offertory Collections of $5,377, which was the 52 week average of last year, would continue at the same level over the first four months of this fiscal year (Sep to Dec for 18 weeks), and
Recognition that an increase in weekly Offertory Collections would be needed to supplement programs for raising additional income and cutting expenses that were already planned or in place, and
That any increase could be realized by both a growth in Parish membership following the reunification, as well as increased giving on the part of the current congregation.
Weekly Offertory Collections need to reach an average of $5,915 for the final eight months of the fiscal year (Jan to Aug 2015) in order to realize all the financial goals that were planned for in the Parish budget. Through November 30th (14 weeks of FY-2015) weekly collections have averaged just $4,945. That figure includes the Offertory collection, Fuel envelopes, Holy day offerings and Parish Pay (the electronic system for giving).
