Hello Everyone, Last weekend we covered the 17th Chapter in Matthew Kelly’s book in which he discusses the 6th pillar of Catholic spirituality; Spiritual Reading. I know that I mentioned some authors that you might find enjoyable , but I thought that I should write them down for you.

Matthew Kelly’s own website is He provides all of the titles of his own very popular books and several other Catholic Authors (including Pope Francis).

Another popular website for Catholic authors is St. Anthony Messenger Press. They offer titles of a wide variety of authors including my own personal favorite; Fr. Richard Rohr, O.F.M.

Fr. Rohr also has his own website which offers many different authors as well. It is The Center for Action and Contemplation website . On this website you can subscribe to the Daily Meditations Fr. Rohr writes each year, purchase books and/or DVD’s and even enroll in an online course.

Of course there is the website offered by EWTN, this site tends to be a bit too conservative for my taste, but to each their own.

There are three spiritual bookstores in the Greater Worcester Area: one at 49 Elm Street in the Chancery basement, this spot is primarily geared towards religious educators, but it does have a good selection of titles, second, on West Boylston Street right near the West Boylston - Worcester Line is A Shower of Roses Bookstore, third on Lake Avenue in Worcester is Boucher’s good Books. These last two tend towards the devotional side and many of the titles I find a bit too sentimental. But they both do offer many good authors as well.

I hope that you will try to find a book that you can read on your own this summer. I believe that if you do you will want to read more authors and titles over the years to come.

Peace and God Bless!
Fr. Rob
