The following prayer has traditionally been used during Lent with Haiti Bowls. It may be said at any time during the day, but could be substituted for grace before meals when the family gathers around the dinner table.
A Family Prayer in Solidarity
Saturday, February 2nd is the Feast of St. Blaise. St. Blaise was a 4th century martyr and Bishop of Armenia and the patron of those who suffer from diseases of the throat. The blessing of St. Blaise is a sign of our faith in God’s protection and love for us and for the sick. We will be offering the blessing of the throats at the end of all masses in place of the final blessing this weekend.
Please make note of our new Mass schedule beginning this weekend:
Monday through Wednesday - 8:30am in MSJ Chapel
The Parish has met it’s financial responsibilities for the current diocesan bills for fiscal year 2019, paying a total of $55,635.00.
You can bring warmth and comfort to the life of an orphaned child in Haiti. If you can sew in a straight line, or are able to cut fabric, you can create beautiful blankets, pillow cases and dresses. Please consider sharing your talents to brighten a child's life. Please take a look at the ites sewn by the Haiti Sewing Miinstry on display in St. Pius X Church.
Please contact Gail Caika at 508-892-9604 for additional information.
Children will be invited to go to the New To You Trift Shop before and after CCD on December 16th for some Christmas shopping. Gifts will be wrapped for free so the kids can keep their gift selections a secret!
Raffles tickets have been sent to all parishioners for the Grand Fall Raffle. Drawings will take place on Saturday. September 22nd at our Parish fair following the 4:00pm Mass. Additional tickets are available to purchase. Please help support our Parish through the sales of these tickets.,
Through the month of August, we are asking parishioners if they could donate one or more new scratch tickets, any denomination to be used for a raffle basket at our parish fair on Sept. 22nd. They can be dropped in the collection basket or at the Parish Office. Your support as always is greatly appreciated.
